100% agreed, JJGo is always better when it's Jordan and guests, thought this week was the best episode in months.  I gave up on JJHo after becoming tired of Hodgman, Thorn, and the guests; at that point, the podcast did not seem to have that much to offer me.

Yeah, I didn't bother with it because it sounded like it would be a
snooze, and I was definitely going nowhere near the Hardwick/Levine
episode.  DLM has become about a 1 in 4 listen for me, too much better
content out there, like Call Chelsea Peretti.  And no, Doug, you don't have to respond to this comment.

Have the comments really gone this far without discussing the Thune/Adomian/Lapkus CBB episode?  There have been plenty of stinkers in the show's run, but this was literally the first episode I have not soldiered all the way to the end of.  Lapkus's character voice was excruciating, but Adomian's Hoffman was somehow

Yeah, thought it was an excellent episode right up until "Johnny Youth" brought the proceedings to a crashing halt.  Worst guest in the history of any entertainment medium, ever?

I always love Scovel on anything, but had to turn this one off before the games began due to Mira sucking up way too much of the airtime (or whatever the podcast equivalent of airtime is).  Nerdist's anchor (Mira) and wrecking ball (Hardwick) managed to kind of ruin two recent episodes w/ otherwise solid guests.

I agree with CBB being in 'the rest' this week, except I wouldn't be quite as charitable as the reviewer; I thought Besser's Pope Benedict was yet another in a long line of one-note, grating-on-the-ears, largely unfunny CBB characters from him, with excessive vulgar language used as a punchline in the absence of

I thought he got kind of pushed to the side by Jesse and the 15-year-old listener, who took up way too much of the episode; thought he was funny when he was actually brought into the episode.

Outstanding Champs with Too $hort this week- had zero opinion of him going in one way or the other, but he was interesting, likable, had some great stories dating back to touring with NWA, and had good takes on various other rappers.  DJ Douggpound  continues to kill it with the drops.

I'm assuming it was largely because I was completely burnt out following a 3-day bachelor party when I listened to it, but I also was completely unaware until reading the writeup (see above) that it was a Sarah Silverman impression- I thought she just really committed to an over-the-top caricature of what her comedy

Would hope the producers would have a better idea about the difference between a chef the viewers "love to hate" (e.g. Stefan the first time around, who was portrayed as being unlikeable/a heel, but was easily the most watchable contestant that season), and a chef that makes viewers legitimately want to change the

To be fair to Josie, Brooke and Stefan and Josh and Sheldon and Lizzie ALL told Josie when she badgered them for a review how delicious her fried chicken was; based on that unanimous, clearly genuine approval, she really seemed to get the shaft at judges' table.

Any Andy Daly fans that avoid Never Not Funny because of the pay format need to pony up and buy this episode.  Easily the most enjoyable, funny (nearly) 2 hours of podcasting I've heard in months.  Can't remember the last guest appearance that so consistently had Jimmy in stitches.

Agreed.  I'm about as left-leaning as they come, but after listening to Garofalo's humorless screed dominate the endless 1st half of this episode, I was about ready to sign off on whatever Fox News' current stance against Ms. Garofalo happened to be.  Her most unforgivable sin was the constant steamrolling over Kyle's

I was underwhelmed by both episodes, actually.  Think I'm in the (vast) minority judging by the usual reaction to his appearances, but I just don't find Ben Schwartz to be that funny.  He's game and affable, but he always brings the same "Oh my god, I can't believe how CRAZY these wacky characters are!?!" exasperated

He's funny BECAUSE he's loud and annoying and unfunny and won't go away, is that it?

Vaguely unlikeable?  Nothing vague about it from my perspective.  Way too much Levine and (of course) Hardwick, who (of course) was the only one who refused to actually leave the show after he had been eliminated; not enough of some of the funniest people (Peretti; Pardo; Aukerman).  Still, overall an enjoyable

Agreed- Hanks was an all-time classic.
Thought this episode was only saved by PFT and Cosby Bukowski, and that character even started to grate after a while.  Think Harris Wittles' CBB appearance have been a case of severely diminishing returns, the Bjork character might annoy me more than anything on any podcast
