I have witnessed the awesomeness that is Fast V, and it was glorious.

Thanks, saw it had (recently?) been published in a collection of "Modern Classics" and was curious as I'd never heard of it or the author (not that I know much about American literature).
Probably won't make the top of my to-read list (for one thing I'll focus on short books for a little while), but I'll consider it.
Don't mind me really, I'll try to join if and when I can, but there is no guarantee that I'll be able to finish it by next week (I did after all take over six months to finish Against the Day), and I'll have limited internet access until 1st Oct (I'll also be supposed to be working, but that's less relevant).
I may be misremembering, but I recall that scene from Holy Motors as the father telling off her daughter for not being sociable enough, maybe it wasn't properly translated?
Ok, I'll try to catch up and read it by next Mon.
The discussion is on the review right?
Did your friend make sure to only serve infected water so the guests would get wasted?
Does anyone around here know anything about William Stegner's The Big Rock Candy Mountain?
Is it worth a read?
Rusalka is so beautiful, the production I saw was set in a brothel, I'm not opposed to anything on principle, and some people eloquently argued that it was a great production, but I couldn't help lament that it contrasted too much with the music.
I've already mentioned the books upthread.
Had you seen Vampire Weekend before?I saw them on the tour for Contra and had found them a bit disappointing, they played all their songs note for note, but didn't really bring anything more to it (it was a shitty venue though). Their music being what it is it was still fun, but I wonder if they've improved.
As you haven't finished either, is it possible to suggest postponing the Bleeding Edge discussion?
Although given that I haven't started (received it on Sat morning) I'm not sure when I'd be able to finish (hopefully by next Mon as I have a bit of time off).
Not until Welcome to the Family is cancelled.
It is, but that's not what I wanted to point out, I'll edit my post to avoid confusion.
Actually it would be: "Etes-vous 15 ans et trois mois?"
I was just commenting on the practicality of printing etc. the thing if it was indeed ready to print as would have had to be (it would actually have to have been printed already but that's another discussion, a friend actually told me it was but she may have just been assuming what should only be very logical based on…
It only takes about ten days to print bind and deliver, they may distribute digitally first, but I don't see Moz going for it and they can still make the next few weeks in store with hard copies.
I have Chinatown so can't complain, but compared to France I find the overall paucity of Chinese restaurants in this country puzzling and frustrating.
There are however amazing Thai and Viet places everywhere. We're also starting to get a few Korean restaurants, that's a nice change.
Thanks, I've been meaning to try more ryes, so I'll keep it in mind.
But I think I'll go for scotch this time (unless he can find some George T.Stagg), and it's also a bit too cheap for this purpose (not to mention that I'm in Europe, American stuff can sometimes be a bit hard to find).
I've been on there for the same reasons as you, I do like it a lot. It pushes me to watc more movies than I ordinarily would, I still have to try and find the time to write more detailed reviews. But it's always nice to see what others are watching, and some of the lists are pretty great.
Isn't it rather that they're two completely different products with the same name? We get both here, American Budweiser (if you look very hard for it) and Budweiser/Budvar.
