Later Poi Dog Pondering (when they went electronic) has a lot of sexy lyrics without being gross. Their earlier love songs are maybe too cute for this, although I have a definite weakness for "Pulling Touch:" You are a cup that I hold by the cheekbones, / I pull you close and I drink you up.

DVD shopping Welp, I did finally find the Hobbit movies…Amoeba expanded their DVD section so that will be my go-to. However, I am so behind the times, I don't have a Blu-Ray player and the extended version of Smaug on regular DVD is only at Wal-mart! So it's not quite sunken cost fallacy because I haven't bought

I've been thinking about going to Kurios…glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Added to my list of post-graduation finally some leisure reading. I was just working with a pile of transcripts from 1936-1937 — the hearings of several rail companies petitioning for licenses to offer service from the Central Valley to Los Angeles. One witness was a fruit farmer who was pleading for some competition.

tick —- tick —- tick —- ding! got it finally

Yeah, my vet told me they are really trying to get your attention. They know you will notice it on your clothes. Definitely get the cat checked out.

I agree. My kid wouldn't sit through three hours of Interstellar but was psyched about the comet lander at least. There's that whole C.P. Snow debate and I just read that Mill was already dividing people between Benthamites and Coleridgians. You might like this lovely rant on humanities, science, and Steven Pinker.

Hee hee. I saw Frozen and Lego Movie around the same time, so I had "Do you want to build a spaceship?" going in my head for weeks.

Big Hero 6 better result in a whole lots of little engineers because the "science" there was cool, too. They show that it's fun AND hard work.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a scale of 0 to 10, I rate my enjoyment of Big Hero 6 a 9. (Over the Garden Wall being a 10.) I don't want to get too much into spoilers here but, for me, it boiled down to Hiro being attached to that Baymax at that point in time. I wish the little annoying loud kids next to us could have been sucked into a portal.

Oh! My daughter has a question for you. We were just talking about typesetting and I showed her a book printed in England and the single quotes for dialogue. She said, "We call the double quotes 'bunny ears.'" Do you learn a cutesy name for single quotes over there?

My response is totally intuitive because I have forgotten the details of early nuWho episodes. I liked the over-arcing story lines but feel like they did so many WHO IS THE DOCTOR and IT'S THE END OF THE UNIVERSE seasons that it became anti-climactic. This new season seems to have reset to a nice scale. I too love

Over the Garden Wall !!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny, touching, creative, primal. A couple on Friday night, the rest Saturday morning, and then tears. I want to watch it again already. And how amazing is the little kid doing Greg's voice?

So what's up with Second Life? Does it work well for you? Creating an account and navigating a bit was required for my master's program and they still try to get people to attend lectures there. It was so slow and clunky, I never got into it, and playing pretend is one of my favorite things. Should I give it another

I think cake is very important. Happy Unbirthday!

It won't. There were a few lines in it that I appreciated. Maybe Murakami should start an advice column instead?

Sorry about your grandfather and cheered a bit that you have such nice memories and gratitude towards him.

Why did you watch Oogieloves?

Good luck on the interview! I think having an anecdote in your pocket is really useful. They often ask about a recent challenge and how you handled it. And just telling a little story makes it all seem human, like you are just having a chat.
