I was still buying hair metal when this came out…this was "underground" as far as I was concerned back then.

Said this before, but every time I go to the basement with a basket of dirty clothes, I sing: "I'm doin' laundryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeaaaahhhhhhh!"

Somewhere I read (maybe Straight Dope?) about how back in the day if you bought an item from the back of a magazine that you might be too intimidated to buy over the counter, like a nose hair trimmer, you could end up on these lists.

This was a couple years before I worked at the Seattle Cellophane Square records, but sometime around 1994, Jeff was doing an in-store. I don't know if he played but do know he did a DJ set. Someone came into the store and asked for a job application and the clerk gave him one. Jeff asked the clerk for one also.

I remember around 5th grade a friend had a Playboy magazine. I asked where he got it and he said he stole it from his friend Barry…Barry kept it by the garbage can out in the alley.

Speechwriter: "Dude, ok…this time, this speech offends everyone like never before, this will tank things and we'll all get fired."
[a week passes]
Speechwriter: "FUCK"

I always like how some people go to great lengths…or none at all to hide their porn browsing from the public.

Today I'm sad to learn, I am actually a few months older than Alex Jones.

ah! I had forgotten about that. I remember seeing one of those back around 1993/94 or so.

This show also had Soundgarden on it, debuting material from the then-unreleased Superunknown. I have it on (an of course unlabeled) VHS tape somewhere.

I'm still trying to think if I ever laughed at anything in a Shouts and Murmurs column.

Meh, I gotta be different and watch Taxi Driver on my SelectaVision.

I remember reading my renter's insurance policy in detail and this was one thing that was not covered…damages resulting from a military army (friend or foe) occupying your residence.

THE CLOSE BUTTON IS ON THE RIGHT OMG WHAT IS MICROSOFT THINKING!

yeah. Bill Cunningham from NYC passed away also.

Ugh, this is sad.

It is totally Celebration Day for Plant and Page.

I had a good friend die a few years ago at age 45. After the funeral I was talking to my mom on the phone and she said, "…yeah, when you were in high school and your uncle died…he was 45 also", kinda freaked me out at how old I am and how short life is.

I complained once about a restaurant's small portions to some friends of friends at a party. They gave the snooty "Well, AMERICAN portions are huge compared to the rest of the world, yadda yadda…"
