I was riding my bicycle around Australia in 2002-03, literally sleeping in the dirt in the middle of nowhere reading "In a Sunburnt Country." I got really annoyed having to read about his "rustic" bed at a pub hotel that will "have to do". He also went a bit overboard on all the all the stuff in Oz that will kill

I remember reading an interview around 20 years ago with Vin Scelsa about how he had Jungleland playing when he got some breaking news, so he faded it down to announce that John Lennon had been shot. This is more or less the story:

A friend once asked me why a relationship with a certain girl didn't work out. I thought for a second and said "Um, the last line of Brilliant Disguise sums it up best: 'God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of'"

Yeah, my problem with now though is that his newer albums and performances are just so….big and exhausting.

For years in Bellingham, WA above I-5 about 40 feet in the air there was a neon sign for the Black Angus restaurant.

Forgot I had a photo of it at humancock.com (yes, this is my own typo squatting site)

The sign used to say "Cocktails" below "Hung Far Low" and the someone knocked out the "tails" portion.

I made a cassette tape of BOTT for a friend way back when and stuck Up To Me on the tailend. Years later when he later got the CD he called me up and said "WHERE THE HELL IS UP TO ME?"

Don't forget making their employees sign a non-compete agreement.

ok, I'm not the only one…never seen so many Jell-O ads in one spot before.

sadly true for at least one person there.

Don't forget Ani Difranco's

And Vince, Brent, Pigpen, Keith..

Drums/Space aka as "time to go to the bathroom".

I remember reading an interview with Jon and/or Ken in The Rocket (defunct Seattle music publication) where they were interviewing bands that got major label deals during the 90s and then dropped. They said something about how "Man….we did a photo shoot that cost like $10,000, we could have recorded three albums

Spent most of the week doing work to the new Titus Andronicus album. Yup, pretty much just that album about four times a day.

Have a wonderful upvote to your wonderful comment about said wonderfulness!

Those pointed green christmas trees that came with the Town System legos circa 1980.

Was gonna watch a few seconds and stayed for the whole thing. Nice job Internet indeed.
