Did you ever happen to notice a large percentage of your overstock starting with "Z" missing? If so, it probably ended up at the indie record store I worked for. Eventually we figured it out and stopped buying from those customers.

As a kid we would go to Dairy Queen and there was this thing on the menu called a "Mr. Misty". For like a year I would try ordering one only to be told "the machine is broken". One day I was informed that yes, their machine was now working. I excitedly ordered a Lemon Lime Mr. Misty.

Oh good ole 20831 barcode prefix. We thought we could just used Columbia House's barcodes for our own inventory…then discovered that they start reusing barcodes after a year or two.
