I think if the Doctor can get over it, he'd really like that one too.

Towards the end, I thought it would end up being a two-parter because the Missy in control of the TARDIS thing was always a background threat.

Also, Doctor Who needs more scenes like that.

And the Doctor would love The Terminator and The Thing because they feature humans doing all they can against a threat they can barely understand (and holding their own).

That the Beeb hasn't leaked a hint of who the next Doctor is a minor miracle because he/she has to be cast by now.

Exactly. My worry going in was that the old British soldiers on Mars thing would be handled in the goofiest way possible and then ended up blending it into the story. Theme-wise it wasn't subtle but I gave up looking for subtly in Doctor Who a long time ago.
