I keep saying this, but since all the actors from Firefly have visibly aged since the show was around a decade ago, what I'd really love to see is another show that takes place in the Firefly universe (or "verse") with an entirely new set of characters.  That way, the new show's story lines could take place a decade…

Serious Post: I went back last week and have been watching an episode or two of Firefly a day, and it's actually gotten better.  I'm on my 5th time watching it through start to finish, and the fifth time is hands down the best.

This is the Verizon of events!

@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus Yeah, that's true, but barring Michael Scott leaving, the general tone of the show for the last three years has been this comfortable mediocrity where I can pretty much call what episodes are going to be like after the first five minutes are so.  No surprises, nothing…

And on that blustery February day, there was no snark in the Newsire, no snark at all!  No snark in the comments sections, or AV Club Facebook wall!  For this was a celebration, unmatched in pop cultural past!  And barring Whitney getting deported, one which shall remain unsurpassed!

That sounds terrible.  I mean, unless you're normaling in public.

I'm guessing it was done for the feeling of jubilation and child like wonder that's coursing through me right now.  It's like there's a ticker tape parade happening inside of me.

If we win regionals, then it's straight on to sectionals! And then, a week later is semis!  Then semi regionals, then regional semis, then NATIONAL LOWER ZONE SEMIS!

Well, some bad news there…

Oh my gosh, I'm going to change my avatar!

The Office certainly isn't good, but it provides a kind of comfortable familiarity that I like.  It's like Eggo Waffles, where there are certainly better pancakes and waffles out there, but they're never going to change and that's kind of a big draw at this point.

We need a gimmick account The Kool Aid Guy to burst through the walls for occasions like this.
