They really should have picked Bombtrack instead.  It's less iconic, but the instrumentation is way better than Killing in the Name and shouting "Burn! Burn! Yes you're gonna burn!" is basically as satisfying as "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me!"

Agreed.  Pearls before swine, Robuttnik. Pearls before swine.

I'm so disappointed X didn't get selected.  The Decemberists are a decent band with plenty of decent songs but if you try to listen to them after the first side of Wild Gift, they barely register as music.  Plus, the main riff of Los Angeles is hands down one of the heaviest, most brooding things they ever wrote

Nor is it a list of bands that have anything in common with any other bands on the list.  I picture a lot of awesome encounters between groups of Modest Mouse fans as they filter out after one set as Avenged Sevenfold fans filter in for the next.

Our long national nightmare will continue indefinitely.

My mind always jumps to the mental image of the illustration Something Awful's Shmorky made of MIA after the truffle fries thing: http://www.somethingawful.c…

What is the sound of a narration track no one is recording?

Ugh, the worst part of being in internet debates about Crystal Skulls was people debating whether or not the physics of the fridge scene were sound or not instead of debating if perhaps that scene should have been in the movie in the first place.

Just heads up, this is going to be the best decision you make today.

McCloud?

Spiderman: "So we meet again, Fartsmith!"
Kirk Cameron Left Me Behind: "I hope you've come prepared, because I'm going to break you in two while I break wind on you!  Hahahahaha!" (FARTSMITH farts while laughing maniacally)

For me it's whoever played Italian Spiderman.  They need to pull that guy out retirement.

Yeah, I'm pretty underwhelmed by the casting of Peter Parker at this point.  Andrew Garfield's main qualifications to play Spiderman seem to be his big head size/skinny body size ratio and the volume of his hair.

@avclub-0304234e5dac07d007cf06c22b3f29c4:disqus, I definitely wouldn't say there's any need for a second movie, but I'd actually kind of like to see a Sin City sequel.  I think the format of having a bunch of miniature stories that toy with 1950s detective story tropes in a grizzly, industrial city is full of

That might be the most subtle firstie I've ever seen.  It also might not be, since if it was subtler than that I probably didn't notice it.

I'm actually proud of myself for getting this.

Yeah, it was pretty confounding how that cover got negative reactions from as many people as it did.  I thought that was easily the second best cover of last season's AV Undercover, second only to Wye Oak's Mother.
