I not only think the album Station to Station is his best, but the song Station to Station is also his best. That said he's lousy with spectacular songs. And don't forget the Iggy Pop material. The Iggy version of Tonight is my #2 Bowie song.

I second Gene Wolfe. I dont think i completely understand his books, but he's a damn fine writer. But if you consider Wolfe SF then so is Vonnegut. Also, James Blish, John Brunner, PKD, Bradbury, all fine writers. Clarke and Asimov, great ideas shit writers.

Fall fans will kill me, but Von Sudenfed is easily my favorite Mark E Smith project. So dirty, so funky, so unintelligible. You dont sound like… no goddam singasongwrita to me.
