Well, a large part of the reason it started the 'aimless, shaggy dog narrative' that followed was because it was the natural ending. I see it as a very similar situation to Scrubs. Both shows had a great finale that left some things open but ultimately provided closure Then they decided to have a new season and of

Really weak finale. I can't believe they blew it after last week's great episode all so they could get in some forced reunions and an undeserved happy ending. I really wish the series could have ended last week or at the end of Season 6.

After Season 6. That is the only truly satisfying ending to Weeds and IMO the best season of the show.

Ok my bad. I'm not American so it's pretty easy for me to miss these things. I guess there's no explanation for why this is a 2nd pilot then.

Maybe, I think I'm just having a weird thing with brunettes at the moment. I sat through the entirety of the new Total Recall thinking Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale were the same person, wondering why none of the characters were noticing. What's even weirder is I was way more attracted to Kate Beckinsale yet still

Well, they did make the idiotic choice to air the pilot a month ago and not re-air it before the 2nd episode so I'm sure for a lot of people this was their first time watching the show. My guess is they wrote this episode with that in mind.

@bcomp92 Give Tyler Labine a chance. His showkilling ability could be  realised very soon on Animal Practice.

Frasier is probably the clearest example that comes to mind.

The Brunette at his work is identical to the Brunette at the community centre. This is problematic.

You did not. Outside of the Doug and Shane stuff this was a really great episode. I'd really be interested in seeing a cut of this season with all the Doug and Shane stuff taken out. As schizophrenic as the Nancy stuff is I think it would actually make a really great 6-8 episodes.

It could work though. At the very least I really enjoyed the Justin Kirk and Joanna Garcia scenes. The deadly combination of NBC and Tyler Labine means it'll probably last 3 weeks though.
