Yeah but he's talking about tone not plot. Even for as crazy as Community is you could watch the pilot and 'Modern Warfare' and still feel it was the same show tonally. Other great comedies like Parks, Louie, Archer, etc. are all way more consistent in tone than Girls is.

Did anyone watch the Happy Endings Kickball episode that aired on British tv last night? It was pretty awesome, Max as a drunk minor league coach, Dave had the yips, Brad bunted. No idea why they never aired it in the US though.
