I even thought Halloween 2 had cool moments, despite being pointless. He definitely has the Kevin Smith problem where every character sounds like Rob Zombie and not a recognizable human being. Even his comic books are full of badasses talkin all badassy.
A Letter to Elise is my favorite Cure song too, even though it's basically the same song as Pictures of You.
EEVIAC is underrated too
Holy shit you guys, THEY'RE PLAYING MY TOWN THE DAY AFTER SCHOOL LETS OUT!!!!!!!
This primer is perfect timing for me, since every spring when it starts raining all the time I break out the Cure discs and pretend I'm in an Ann Rice novel for two weeks.
I used to listen to Bloodflowers on the computer when I worked at a soul-crushing office and was avoiding calling the girlfriend I was too scared to break up with. It was good then too.
Fascination Street is my entrance music when I pretend I'm a pro wrestler.
Pretty sure this is it:

I really don't get why this comic is so popular. The art sucks after Tony Moore leaves (IMO. Not a fan of Adlard), the dialogue is wooden, the plots are often ludicrous (The Governor for example). But people love it.
I recently sold all my issues on Ebay and got at least ten dollars apiece for them…why? The book…

Honest question: Is it me, or are hip-hop fans more fickle than fans of other music genres? It seems like artists have a really really brief window of popularity before they are considered corny or out of touch. I liked the music as a teenager, but was never really a "fan" because I couldn't keep up with who it…

The Yo cards look a lot like my sister's New Kids On The Block cards. I burned her Donnie card in the fireplace, because I am rebellious.

If they can tell a story without face-ripping, then why don't they? This ain't the Toxic Avenger, it's Batman for christ sakes. A simple rule of thumb should be: if the character appears on Underoos= no face-ripping.
I grew up on that stuff too, but the DC Universe is so over the top these days that it's embarrassing. I'm still reading Scott Snyder's Batman and I plan on checking out a couple of the New 52 in trades, but most of what they're putting out these days is seemingly designed for Slipknot fans who think Spawn is the…
