We're Stars.
That video is the greatest thing in history.

So I Married An Axe Murderer?

I can excuse the racism and the overwrought prose because the guy wrote some damn chilling stories.

I agree with O2 Thief. There's an entire generation whose first exposure to sword and sorcery fantasy was through those Frazetta covers.
As a kid I picked up an Elric novel because the cover was so badass (Daw books edition of "Stormbringer") even though I knew fuckall about fantasy novels. I'm sure those

Personality Comics
Those things were the best. and by "best" I mean the worst comics ever. I have The Woody Allen Story, and the Rock N Roll comics for Metallica and Guns and Roses. I <3 the 80's black and white comic boom.

I'm no good at anything but reading either.
Hello brother.

Love that sequence
Totally agree, Scott…The Head Over Heels sequence made the movie for me. Without that melancholy and somewhat creepy five minutes early on in the film, I doubt i would have bought into all the rabbit suit- time loop nonsense. Excellent call.

I was waaay more interested in RZA's character than anything else in that movie. What's his backstory? How did this guy become a cop? Why does he have a Wu-Tang tattoo in 1976?

Shame
Gerber was a great writer and by all accounts a real interesting guy. Ignore the fucking awful movie and get yourself The Essential Howard The Duck trade paperback..awesome stuff.

I respectfully disagree.
Love the book, and enjoyed the hell out of Last Man on Earth and The Omega Man.

i rate this book "excellent"
That is the funniest fucking thing I've seen on this website. God bless you, Debbie, wherever you are.

Trades are better than singles.
I can't wait to move so I can cut ties with my comic shop and become one of those Wait-For-The-Trade guys. The Wednesday trek to the shop is such an ingrained part of my routine that I find it hard to take the plunge. There's really nothing to be gained by reading the issues month

Funniest part of the show: During one long instrumental portion they displayed a cartoon dragon on the screens over the stage. The dragon flapped his wings a long time, then landed, held up a "Rush Backstage Pass," then breathed fire into the camera. That's some Spinal Tap shit right there.

Rush
I went to see a Rush concert ironically and ended up having an unironic good time. They're good.

Prog is awesome.
Yeahhhh.

I found it in like three minutes of Google searching. I like it. These guys are stupid for not re-releasing it…it sounds like any other BR album but with synthesisers and piano.

Of course!

I agree.

Is Into The Unknown readily available? I wanted to give it a listen back in college but my B.R. Superfan roommate said he could never find a copy.

I can't watch this show.
Why does Izzard speak with an English accent and Minnie Driver with a (terrible) Southern one? Why are all the people they con so stupid? Why is the daughter the only believable character on the show??
