Dobrocop

That hadn't even occurred to me. Why hire one of the world's best hand-to-hand fighters if you're just going to give her a gun?

Hahaha. You can't help but imagine the majority of comics creators getting in trouble in middle school. She's written from real life!

I guess I should preface this by saying I was utterly unfamiliar with ST (and, by extension, Anton Arcane) before the reboot. Spending time with just how evil Arcane is was a welcome primer on the character. Sure, it treated him more like a force of nature than a character, but I didn't really see that as a problem;

I'm surprised — I loved Swamp Thing #0. I thought it was a clever way to go back to Alec's past without rehashing the origin story (which has more or less been laid out in the title proper). What was it that you didn't like about it?

My blog is covering every single zero issue ( http://retcon-punch.com/zer… ). We've liked the few that we've read so far, but I suspect they'll be as hit-or-miss as any other month.

@avclub-ab5266a567015c1fa88e4cb37ae91f51:disqus It's interesting that that's your perception of fan reaction to the Watchmen movie. I was SUPER excited for it when it came out, but then was totally underwhelmed by the shiny crappiness of it. There was certainly fan outcry at the thought of doing the movie at all, but

My friends and I have been reviewing every issue over on our comics blog (http://retcon-punch.com/bef… if you want to check it out. We've liked Comedian, Minutemen, and Silk Specre. Nite Owl is really bad (falling woefully short of justifying its own existence, it cant even manage to be entertaining). We're a bit more

We'd definitely love to review the "classics" someday, but we've pretty much got our hands full with the monthlies we're covering now. Glad you liked it. Thanks for checking it out!

I like this idea. In fact, I liked it so much, I started a blog with this central conceit — comics reviewed like tv shows in a cross-talk format — eight months ago. I'd accuse you guys of stealing the idea if we hadn't pretty much stolen it from you in the first place. We also invite as much discussion in the comments

You can definitely tell he didn't grow up in Gotham, if that's what you mean.
