Yes and 60 yrs ago white people would not use the same bathroom as black ppl in yer country. Progress is made by moving forward, not pandering to the worst most insane impulses of society.

I like how he actually mentions other 'works of a generation' for context, like he's a well-read person and not someone who only watches TV all day like I don't know, every other article I've ever read on Girls.

"US invades Iran; Lena Dunham, Nation React".

"US invades Iran; Lena Dunham, Nation React".

To paraphrase same friend: "Let's see Todd & Kareem settle this on the half court".

I now think there's two types of shows: the ones where Kareem guest-stars on your show and the ones where Kareem writes a scathing piece of criticism on your show. In conclusion, New Girl rules, Girls sucks.

I think he did a good job listing all the other 'generational' works. This why many ppl feel the need to weigh in on the issue: when the media keeps calling something the voice of a generation, it's an interesting thing to consider.

"Even though everyone I know and their mother was crying over 30 ROCK last night, another show created and starring and about a woman, Girls is the only show created and starring and about a woman on TV ever and the fact that no one watches it can only be explained by misogyny because it has somehow unlocked the

I love his piece. Although he's way more generous towards her work in those last couple of sentence than I ever will be at this point, I frigging LOVE IT when non-critics are better critics than the critics. It's like Christmas morning in my brain.

Thanks.

Television is a business but it is also (a form/medium of) art. There is art that panders & there is art that challenges & there is absolutely nothing illogical about being disappointed with art that challenges nothing but basically just sells out & remains a mediocre & dull commodity & not the thing we love about art.

All I read was 'blah blah blah the D- is one louder'.

Mindy's rarely got someone falling head over heels in love with her at first sight on this show or pursuing her beyond all reason. Her relationships seem like friendship + sex most of the time. That speech Duplass gave her before he walked back into the movie theatre was pretty realistic & devastating.

Yes because dorky white dudes are a fantasy.

Ah nuts, I didn't like her at all.

Mindy is so damn cute, it's true.

People hate McNutt? Buh?

I still love the writing of individual lines & little scenes in this show, so I agree with you. Go Mindy!

But not for the character.

Oh nothing! But I don't think she is cause she also writes articles defending hipsters AND even if you are it's not nice to make fun of women who do!
I myself barely ever wear makeup, also I'm half-joking here.
