Kind of like costumes & masks & drag & new names & roles or even something like being a foreigner in a different country allow us to behave in a more liberated way because we think "that's how that person would behave"— but the truth is that, in that temporary freedom, we are probably being our most authentic selves.

Definitely— literally taking on a new identity liberates him to be the kind of man he wants to be— which is interesting because technically we all have that freedom & actually partake in all our lives but not without constantly putting parameters on it. But with Don Draper, what we see is a subtle universal

Uh, what makes this a case of domestic violence? I have no idea what went on prior to this incident and neither did any of you at the time this story was posted. To me, this is a case of attempted murder, just like the charge laid against this man by the courts. I think calling it domestic abuse or violence is piling
