Sorry, now I feel like a jerk b/c I was quoting Community. The line is actually a joke on deliberate self-indulgence.

What? It came up organically.

When I saw Match Point, and the ring fell on the sidewalk of the bridge, the guy behind me said "That's the match point".

I just feel like the character was probably written to be funny, but the actress has never made a joke or laughed at a joke in her life.

The writing is really good on the show. You can feel that it comes from real talent. The only thing that is still shaky is plotting and a bit of the peripheral cast, but we're only a few episodes in.

I also liked the little spiel about "accidentally finding condoms from a bachelorette party in a ladylike fashion" before sex. I can't say that's how I behave, but I can totally see what she is talking about.

I was just saying that things like having a character you created disappear to be replaced by another actor/character can trip you up as a writer more than it seems. It's one thing to write a character and then hire an actor to play him, and it's another thing to hire an actor and then write a character for him. It

Yeah I liked it cause it was return to bare minimum as in I didn't feel rage at my TV. My bar is definitely low.
