That's a good interpretation. It's hard to describe why that movie works and I like that.

It's a modern, dark, satirical fairy tale. Not everyone's bag, but purposefully executed.

I did wonder if watching it on my TV was the reason it didn't look better. Sounds like maybe not. If you do something in black and white, seems like you should pay even more attention to lighting, etc.

It was certainly a different experience than House of Cards or Arrested, hate to say it. You better believe I knew that theme song forwards and backwards pretty quickly. And now it's nominated for a Grammy. Aw.
