@avclub-b97fa993e1616965ac436401de58042d:disqus Its huge ratings, Emmy love, time slot opposite Community, multi camera, nerds take its lame depiction of nerds personally, its mean-spiritedness, etc. Some of it is justified and some of it isn't.

Just to warn you, it won't be a terribly happy place here either. I respect that people have quality critical things to say about but I think many of them go overboard with their negativity when it comes to this show on here as well. But that's just me.

His son is also a writer? That's awesome.

The way they dealt with the leads as a couple was what turned me off the most in the second season, but I also appreciated it more than most seem to. The first half was great and I'm still looking forward to another season.

Don't mind this one. It's kind of his/her schtick.

I can't help it; that's my mating call. Yes, I'm referring to both my handle and a Whedon-related comment section.

What are you talking about? More people seem to be watching the show because of its connection to Parks and Rec than Samberg. In fact, many have cited their distaste for him in this comment section and last week's. But thanks for sharing your weird grudge, which you should at least commit to by spelling his name

She and Rosa are killing it.

Grrr. Argh.

@avclub-d9c9a056f6052ffbfa3526be3478d45e:disqus Interesting. I just started POI, partly to see Amy Acker. It's going to take me a long time to catch up but I'm glad she's getting solid work.

Grrr! Argh!

@avclub-66f0eb7a6d8ee7b11c8bf8f1100bfede:disqus Nice, The Zeppo was exactly what I was thinking about. Well people really liked that ep for a reason.

Yeah, with the guys it seems less that they like one another and more that they withstand each other. Especially when it comes to Sheldon. If he has a disorder then that's one thing, but that's never been addressed. Taken the way he is, I don't know why anyone would be friends with him. So why would I want to watch

Yeah, that shit is just offensive to nerd women who are already dismissed enough in certain circles.

Yes to your second paragraph so much. TBBT is always going to have a problem going forward when the quality of the women's scenes since the new additions highlight how inferior the men's are in comparison.

Um are they insinuating that those single cam characters are worse people than those on TBBT? Because I'm pretty sure the latter show is about a group of friends where everyone hates one another. Or at least that's how it comes across a lot of the time.

Hear hear re: DeKnight

It seemed like a lot of people were annoyed with her, and I felt that way to an extent too, especially when it seemed like they were aping too much of Buffy's persona with her, but I'll be patient and see how it goes.

Like others have said, I hope they are able to bring Richards back somehow. I don't know if that can happen regularly or at all since their cast is already big, but I enjoyed seeing him again.

Yeah, that bit may have been heavy-handed but I still thought the themes were interesting. Others who are super familiar with comics may be sick of that subject matter but I'm not yet. It reminded me of Xander in Buffy, which makes me happy.
