I more saw it as pretty much everyone dies by the end of "The Departed" which is exactly how the Sopranos ends up (except for Paulie).

This is awesome on so many levels.  Thanks Chocolate!

Nah, Todd is way  better.  Matt's a great writer but very weak at analysis.  Some of his Breaking Bad recaps for the last season were downright embarrassing and the commenters rightfully gave him hell for it.

just some other random points about this legendary episode:I really love the Silvio moment by Tony's bedside when he starts to choke up when talking about Christopher's death.  He says something like that "little crazy psycho is gone now" while seemingly holding back tears.

I love Breaking Bad but it seems you can be hanged just for criticizing it around these parts.  It's amazing to me that anyone could think it's better than the Sopranos.  You make excellent points about some of the absurd plot lines in the show which Gillgian seems to get no guff for.  Are they ever going to explain

Agreed.  The MOS site does a nice side by side comparison on Page 3.

Agreed.  Season 6 is the greatest season of any show in television history. I can't think of another season of another show that has such a rewarding re-watch value as this season.   The Wire has the line "Everything is connected and all the details matter."   That is what should be said for Season 6 of the Sopranos.

Yes.  That jumped out at me too.

Todd,

Todd,

Agreed.  The Molinaro dreams and the Finnerty experience confirmed the same for me.  The show is a real tragedy.

He had a small part in Coen's "Burn After Reading" as a secretly married stiff that Frances McDormand meets on a dating site and has sex with.  When I saw it for the first time I kept staring at the guy and thinking "Where do I know this guy from?"
