I believe it was the shortest wait between seasons in the history of the show. I believe 9 months. Also, it was called Season 6 PART 1. It was not a true season finale so we should have not been surprised by Kaisha.

Todd, can't believe you forgot to mention one hilarious in-joke meta moment. WriterTerrence Winter (now of Boardwalk Empire fame) wrote the screenplay for a 50 cent crime movie released in 2005 or 2006. I can't remember the name and Winter may have also directed it. It was a huge critical and box office disaster so…

I have always wondered about this too. I think Chase doesn't think it was any different but Tony just has a naive sentimentality about the past. People were turning on each other and flipping back in Johnny Boy's heyday.

I'm not sure the old Tony would have handled him any different. He did yell at Jason with the "Why don't you ask the Katrina victims about fair?" He also sent Paulie and Patsy to have their little "talk" with Jason with obvious threatening undertones.

Agreed. In "Chasing It" Tony berates Carlo that he "should start sucking c-ck" like Vito because he doesn't earn nearly as much. This is just after Tony accepts that he has to pay his debt to Hesh. Tony is short on cash flow and could have used Vito.
