If by shitty you mean arguably the worst finale of all time and by great you mean thoroughly mediocre, but potentially as satisfying as it could've been at that point in the show's run, then, yes, I agree.

Someone here recently was trying to argue that Berry did the best she could given extremely poor material. And, while I would not disagree that the writing for Storm was pretty much garbage, I would vehemently disagree that Berry made even a good faith attempt to do anything whatsoever with that material. Just

Fact.

In cases of legitimate theater, the curtain has a way of coming down.

Except in that poster image, where he looks oddly like he's made of plastic. That was a real whiff by the marketing people over at Marvel.

I feel like I'm from No Fun Land, because, again, no. No Vanessa Ives, no anything related to Penny Dreadful.

Please no. That movie is pure lighting in a bottle. Any attempt to do it again would just make the original seem worse.

I don't really understand why that movie is so universally reviled. Mostly it's universally boring.

Who among us can say they haven't dated Lucy Liu-bot?

I can't honestly say that I'm in any way surprised or shocked that Chris Carter of all people didn't do anything except hire a bunch of his old friends and cronies (obviously all dudes) to participate in writing and directing the revival of that show.

If you asked me yesterday, I would say I'm pretty sure that Mike Colter, of all people on this planet, never has to worry about hover-handing and yet, here we are.

I have no feelings about it either way. I've watched a sporadic number of episodes of the original run and none of the revival and don't really care either way. But, given the amount of hype and the money they raised and the money netflix probably dumped into the project, I imagine that "serviceable" is not the word

That's really not the word anyone wants to be using about a hugely hyped, massively expensive reboot of a much-beloved property.

I could never quite tell who this show was really made for. I don't think I've ever heard someone really come out as a big fan of it. Lesbians don't like it because it casts them all in the same unrealistic, conventionally attractive (and white) mold. Non-lesbians don't like it because it is so intensely self-aware of

I'm in lesbians with you.

I figured it stood for department, I've just never heard of it referred to as such, which is why I was snarkily assuming that it was a British English styling.

That is the logic loop that got me to stop smoking. As soon as I realized it was something I was actively wanting and thinking about and, ok, needing, I realized I was lying to myself about why I kept doing it.

Boy did it get dusty in here all of a sudden. Not sure if congratulations is the correct thing to say (like you say break a leg in the performing arts instead of good luck), but glad to hear you got help and made it and are going strong.

Not at all, and you should be!

Is that British for ER?
