As opposed to all the people who turned it into a swashbuckling adventure?

Holy crap that update! Kathleen Kennedy going full Warner Brothers on the Han Solo movie.
Which is, in many ways, why the Han Solo movie also has always sounded like a bad idea.
Based on nothing, my guess is that they wanted to kill off a character that Disney has plans for, and they felt that it was absolutely essential for the story they want to tell for that character to die.
Right. It's a great idea for a Superman movie to explore why Superman Prime is as beloved as he is by exploring a different version of the character. It's not so great for being the only canonical movie depiction of the character. I do really like Cavill, both as Supes and as Clark and just in general, and I think it…
I would rather watch Rogue One than any other Star Wars movies except Empire and ANH.
The only thing I can think of at this point is that there are that Lord and Miller and the studio were essentially at an impasse about. Someone wanted something to stay, the other demanded that it gets cut/isn't shot and that boded so ominously for the editing and post-production process that Lord and Miller walked. I…
I didn't realize I was such an outlier in how much I liked Rogue One. It's not perfect and has a few odd moments, but I think it's far and away better than TFA.
Yeah, I can envision why a push to save a town that gets blown up anyway where she doesn't actively fight anyone could be seen as superfluous on the page, so I'm willing to give a little, but it does underline DC/WB's lack of vision. I'm glad Jenkins has plenty and was willing to push to make that vision come to life.
I am a MoS defender. I think it's an interesting, well-executed alternative take on Superman. The problem is that it's supposed to anchor a Justice League shared universe.
What did BvS make domestically? 350? That might be tough. It definitely passes MoS and makes a play at SS, though.
I haven't done a deep dive into this issue, but did they want to get rid of that scene before or after it was shot?
Also, it helps to not let a trailer studio recut the movie, and then have focus groups recut that recut with the original cut.
No matter how many times I see pictures of Patty Jenkins, she never looks like what I expect to see. I don't know why. And it's not like I could articulate what I think she should look like, either. She just doesn't look how I think she ought, based on, effectively, nothing but her name.
So is the actual story something to the effect of Cavill has earned $14M to date for all of his DCEU appearances and Gadot will likely earn a similar amount through a similar number of appearances? Is that the gist?
My younger cat (who is generally a brat to his older sister, but treats us like we are giant cats who he absolutely adores) sits at the door to the garage and meows his face off until I come inside, then chases me around begging for pets until I give him a proper, thorough greeting. And he does this EVERY DAY.
One is legitimately fat. The other is just a little chunky. Neither of them are svelte.
I keep hearing that, but I also I keep passing it while scrolling through streaming services because I don't want to be depressed.
So long as a wacky Kiwi doesn't shoehorn you into his bloated and incomprehensible adaptation of one of your favorite books when you're 90 years old.
Hey, I read enough to determine whether the article made a joke. Once I'd done that very low level of due diligence, I disclaim any further review of the comments.
