But also, no one would blame her for marrying him for just his looks!

Yeah, I mean, give CH a little room to grow. It started off sort of as a one-off "let's teach Steven how to play D&D" thing that has grown into a massive thing, so it takes a while for everyone to settle in. But, once it does, I think it's pretty great.
By "out of step," I meant in general, not just in terms of play style. He seemed like someone's little brother that joined the group because mom said so and was really eager and excited, but wasn't actually everyone's friend and didn't quite "get it."
At the time Orion leaving was really jarring, but it's been such a huge benefit. I don't pretend to have any idea of what actually precipitated his departure, but it's only been his absence that showed how out of step he was with everyone else. There are some painfully cringeworthy moments that are definitely Orion…
By "online RPG" do you mean "pen and paper game you're playing online" or do you mean roleplay heavy MUD?
I think this is sort of a function of the awkwardness of making what was originally a private game public and having to "perform" on camera for 2+ hours each week, but every member of the cast has a couple things they do at least once an episode that's like nails on chalkboard.
I wish there were a nice medium between CR and Titansgrave. I find TItansgrave to be WAY over-edited (I also find Wil Wheaton to be vaguely and non-specifically annoying - he always feels like he's trying too hard, even though I know he's being genuine, it's weird) but CR is incredibly dense and requires you to…
Critical Role just started releasing episodes as podcasts: http://geekandsundry.com/ex…
I guess it's a conflict of interest to promote the fact that AV Club writer Sam Nelson is a full time cast member on Critical Hit, a long running DND podcast over at majorspoilers.com. They're between main seasons of the campaign at the moment, and she is dm'ing a killer Pathfinder game set in late 19th century Texas.…
So this is a prequel to the Leftovers. Got it.
Is that what the kids are calling them these days? Shoulders?
Right. This isn't about drunken hookups where inhibitions are lowered. Her statement was basically, "I have no clue what happened, and am relying on what other people have told me, but it sounds pretty awful."
Not that this is current or binding, but my college conducted regular "consent seminars" to help try to prevent college students from being horrible to each other. At every single seminar, we were told that, even if both parties are drunk, if drunk you forces yourself on a drunk other person who is unable to consent,…
"Top Men" have reported that Kinja is being forced on all Univision-owned websites both because the platform is owned by Univision (having been part of the Gawker package deal) so no more licensing fees and because the suits think it drives more ad revenue.
Presidenty McPresidentface
It tells you everything you need to know about the GOP that an active component of their platform is making voting harder.
In which Russian artists win all future Grammy awards.
That's because, for all of its family and love and doing your thing, it's mostly Jon Favreau very publicly exorcising his demons about what happened with Iron Man 2 and Cowboys and Aliens, and being pretty damn angry about it.
When I saw the headline and because I obviously don't remember any of their names, I assumed this was that family that was posting videos of them abusing their kids. Imagine my surprise.
You're either destined to have no subs, or get enough to find yourself a despicable monster.
