I was wondering the same thing. It's been a while since I've seen Tommy though. Maybe that is what they were going for…

Ah, thanks for catching that. It's been switched to "older" (sorry for the typo).

Hellooo!

For sure; I'm surprised that all of them can sing, or at least sell the singing, so well.

Agreed. And in rereading the review, I feel a little guilty for not calling out Vinnie Jones again. He's great in every scene he does. Loved his profanity-laced joke to the king, and Richard's appalled reaction to it.

Nice work! I was trying to write the intro of my review to the rhythm of the Galavant theme, but it was really hard.

Three. I think he also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Even if that was the intent, there was nothing in the dialogue or direction—either in the pilot or any of the episodes afterward—that hinted at that for me. It just felt completely out of nowhere. Was that something you would have guessed about Sid's background after watching the pilot?

It's definitely better if you don't watch it, especially if you're starting with a later episode. It becomes about so much more than just the crappiness of the film.

Definitely agree on your points about the color-blind casting. Hopefully the humor doesn't turn it into a gimmick.

That's a good point about the long time-span. In terms of film-making, I think it just felt a little jarring because we never saw her relationship sour with the king. Other than that, I definitely agree with you about her characterization being very strong and different from the usual queen figure. Thanks for reading!

Been listening to this on repeat:

Yeah, I definitely dug all of the songs except for "Stand Up." Just from a pure listening standpoint, it was hard to understand what they were saying over the action, which I think is essential for any montage spoof. Thanks for reading!

I hadn't even thought of that. Would've been a much funnier gag.

Thanks for reading, Franko. We'll definitely be reviewing all of the episodes!
