Happy Memorial Day Americans!
Enjoy your well-deserved day off.

I'm not going to challenge you on the accent: you're obviously an authority on the subject and my only experience with it comes from two vacations and a few years of watching Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show.

!!! Major spoilers for the Supernatural season 11 finale !!!

Yeah, they're the perfect team!

I love that show.
And Richard Ayoade.
His appearances on Big Fat Quiz are out of this world amazing.

I like to think that I'd still be working (I'm going to be a lawyer in a few years if all goes well) even if I was set for life like that.
I'd hopefully do a bunch of pro bono work.

It's true, the target demographic was really unclear for that one. I saw it because I was hanging out with a friend and it came on tv. I imagine that that most of the people who've seen it , came across it in a similar, semi-voluntary manner.

I saw the first one in the theater and thought it was really funny.
Will be checking this out!

That Pashmina Afghan line just made be chuckle just from reading it.
So good.

I agree it on being irrelevant for the trial, but it may have been relevant for the documentary.

Yeah, that was dreadful. He so clearly didn't understand anything that was happening. That poor guy.

That was so horrible. It just showed how completely defenseless he was.

I agree that in order to paint a more balanced picture, they should have been honest about the animal abuse in Avery's past.
Granted, it may be irrelevant (I'm not a criminologist, so I can't claim to know) but it at least makes it clear that this guy is not a complete saint. He is capable of cruelty.

Fair enough, thank you for clarifying!

I had tears in my eyes during much of Dassey's time on screen.
In my mind, there is just no way that he did any of those things.

I respect the hell out of these two men. I wish their tour would come to Europe, I'd be there front and center.

Is it at all possible that some of the quality of the writing was lost in translation?
I've read a couple of books in both the original French and in English and they tend to be markedly different, with the latter being worse.
