I haven't seen that show, but I see your point. Maybe I should read it again, see if I have a different perspective.

I read Bernadette a while ago and I was wondering if you at any point got the sense that the story makes fun of a person (Bernadette) with some pretty serious psychological issues? I thought the book was pretty entertaining, but that kind of left a strange aftertaste. Just something about the tone.
I finished watching Making a Murderer on Netflix, so SPOILERS (is there such a thing as spoilers for real life events?) up to and including the final episode.
So true. Vanessa was the living worst.
Yeah, I remember that scene very well. Poor Dan went from being the happiest boy in school to the saddest in a matter of minutes. Hilarious.
I watched this show beginning to end and I still rewatch episodes on Netflix on occasion. It doesn't make a lot of sense and yeah, it's pretty dumb most of the time, but it's also very, very entertaining. I love it.
Happy new year everyone! I wish you all good health and happiness. Thanks for being the most funny, sensible and supportive (if snarky) commentariat on the internet!
I don't know. It just seems like "an eye for an eye" to me. Not good at all.
Hehe, I'm afraid I don't have a choice. I still like Community but I could really go for an avatar of Gina from Brooklyn Nine-Nine holding a unicorn blanker at this point.
Ugh, I know. I've been wanting to change my avatar for ages but Disqus won't let me, for some reason.
Yeah, I see your point. I suppose there are circumstances under which prison rape jokes could potentially be funny.
In general though, I do believe that they are unfunny and foul.
"Har-dee-dar, he raped women and now he's gonna be raped himself!"
Hilarious. I just feel like there is such a sad, twisted sentiment…
Maybe we could add "prison rape isn't funny and neither are jokes about it, even if the person being joked about is a scumbag" to the list? It appears to be needed.
I was in Paris for Christmas with the family and we had a great time eating, shopping and seeing the sights. We also saw a concert by a string quartet which was great.
We visited the Place de la République and laid down some flowers. It was quite the sight to be seen: so many banners, candles, cards and flowers, and…
Same here. He was insanely good as Brad!
Yesss. Year of Penny forever.
Let's go make manifestation boards!
I still miss him as Brad on Happy Endings.
In other news: I miss Happy Endings.
Just listened to it for the first time and watched the video.
I kinda like the song but I could really do without the constant talking.
And the video… Kinda disturbs me.
I still think her voice is quite good, though.
Yeah, I get what you mean. All the explosions and shootings and execution-style killings in the new Hunger Games movie kinda upset me when it came out because I saw it so soon after the Paris attacks.
With this though, nothing. Weird, I guess. Maybe it's just because it wasn't as explicit.
Yeah, Sober Hans is great!
The smoothie-filled stag do was a masterstroke. Although my favorite bit would have to be when he caved and went for the beer.
O wow I hadn't even looked at it through that lense and I was so shaken and upset by all the horrible stuff that's happened lately. I feel kinda bad now.
I'm going to try to blame it on the combination of it being played far from straight and the painkillers I've been popping like breathmints all day. Still feel…
