This was a great episode, almost as good as BB gets, in my opinion anyway. So many good lines and what not. Loved it.

As far as new Simpsons go, this wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either, and the ending felt really, really rushed. O_o

This is true. Other than the initial resolving of the plot of him driving away with Victoria…and that was only the first episode. And yes - it wasn't much of a resolve. Now suddenly he's in relationship limbo and this is supposed to be the final season. The pieces just aren't coming together.
