"Even now, it’s hard to imagine a network TV show that would dedicate an entire episode to female contraception." In a similar vein, there's also season 6 episode The Couch, which features Elaine sparking a restaurant backlash when she finds out the the owner is against abortion (and later leaving a boyfriend for the

How the mighty have fallen.

Is anybody else more bummed out by Banks not returning than Glover?

I don't know why I didn't think of this when this article went up, as opposed to a day later when nobody will read it, but: being stuck listening to a rock station "zoo crew," particularly one involving lots of caller participation is my personal hell.

West LA has both Cinephile and Vidiots, and both are great.

Alyson Hannigan was hotter than any of the other female cast members to begin with though.

Growing up as a non-soccer fan the way time is kept was jarring at first but I eventually came to love it. First and foremost because when a match is slated to last 90-95 minutes (plus 15 minute halftime) that means a match WILL LAST roughly that amount of time. The indeterminate amount of time afforded to the length

I'd see the hell out of an Eels musical. E and company can play every musical instrument you could name and then some, and their live shows have a wonderful element of theatricality. And it's a playful, unpredictable theatricality - not at all the unrelentingly morose nature that the stereotype of the band may lead

BOO! WOMEN'S STUDIES! JEZEBEL! RAPE CULTURE! MORE BUZZWORDS THAT REDDIT/REDPILL AND MRA-INFESTED FORUMS TELL ME ARE TERRIBLE! BOOO!

Ha, leaving off the 's' makes it sound like that sketch was about a beloved recurring character named Bad Idea Jean.

Yeah, I found some of the topics he covered on Barely Legal interesting and the morning show definitely had its moments (The David Lynch Weather Report! Sports with Timothy Olyphant!), but the political views he sporadically interjected were typically cringe-worthy.

Man, do I ever miss the Indie 103.1 version of Jonesy's Jukebox. And Indie 103.1 for that matter.

It's really weird. I'm a big flabbergasted over how much of the usually sharp AVC commentariat seemed to miss the point. If you don't enjoy the joke, that's fine, but to see how many here took it at face value and failed to even realize that it IS a joke is not what I had expected from AV Club regulars.

You know, if you just don't find it funny that's one thing (I think the site is pretty spot-on and hilarious personally), but man, the amount of people in this comment section that legitimately don't grasp that this is a parody and not an actual viral content site is just disheartening.

Do you think he's doing this kind of stuff more often nowadays, or do you think he was always pulling these sorts of shenanigans but people just generally weren't carrying around means of documenting it back in the day? I mean, the stories go way back, but it never sounded like this sort of thing was a semi-regular

I blame that sick fuck John Mayer.

He was just on a roll.

We used to be with it. Then they changed what "it" was. Now what we're with isn’t it. And what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary to us. It'll happen to you, @NerdInTheBasement:disqus!
