I actually saw this when it first aired. The big reason they are so pissed off is that they followed Alan Carr, who went on and on about his shoes and other ridiculous showbiz stuff. That's what the "Maybe it's your shoes…" line alludes to.
Here's a write up about it. it's from 1989, not 1988. I edited my post above. http://articles.latimes.com…

I remember seeing the 1989 baseball all-star game and Reagan joined Vin Sculley to do some play-by-play. Reagan kept repeating the same phrases over and over and it seemed like something wasn't right. I've looked for it online since then but haven't found it.
This is a great read.
Beaches Burgers in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. There is no equal.
I'm here for a burger time, not a long time.

Bring on the night by the Police and On the edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks.
At minor league games I've gotten shots of Alice Cooper, Dan Quayle, Vanna White and George "The Animal" Steele. So there.
"I found that essence rare"
The best album ever.
Get Happy is my all-time favorite album. I've owned it on vinyl, cassette, and several CD versions. A masterpiece.
Soylent Green is Lt. Broccoli!

I owned Another Green World on 8 track. Hard to believe I know, but I actually wasn't very popular with the ladies.
