@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus  Wait, what?

Another issue for me was, I started to get new POV character fatigue somewhere in the 4th book.  When I would turn a page and find that the next chapter established a new POV character, I would sigh heavily.  "Fuck, really???"  I didn't give a damn about any of them, I just wanted to follow the ones I already cared

Holy shit @joaquinstick:disqus , that's awesome.  That would be amazing.

Book 5 spoilers….

Badass Badlan Re: "Theon's problem is his lack of identity. He doesn't really belong anywhere"

Well, that's a shame, I liked those episodes a lot.  Sometimes I get bogged down in the seasons's arc.

Another thing I wonder for Yost:

Is Don sort of Jaime Lannister -ish?  Ambivalent about his identity and his role.  A Kingslayer in his own way.

It's kind of amazing how SCDP will wind up on the "right" side of some ethical commercial issues, by accident or as a joke.  They're going to do anti-smoking ads for the American Cancer Society, because Don wrote an ad to get ahead of the story of their losing Lucky Strike.  They're going to wind up with a black

ToddG – I appreciate the, uh, politeness of your reply.  I was acutely conscious of my comment being the equivalent of coming into someone else's party and crapping all over the carpet.  It was good of you to treat it as something worth discussing.

Not to strike a discordant note, but I finally saw Inner Light a year or so ago, and I was frankly shocked at how weak and un-engaging this episode was.

The prob with the Dances With Wolves soundtrack, is not that it's not good music - I could sit in a theater and let a John Barry score wash over me all weekend - but that it makes the Western sound like a James Bond film. A tribe of Indians is about to be massacred, and I'm waiting for Desmond Llewelyn to step out

This one:

John Williams? Williams ripped-off Holst too much for the Star Wars score, for claims of him being ripped off to ever be taken seriously.

I always group this movie with Creator
The Peter O'Toole vehicle, where Virginia Madsen shows her boobs and David Ogden Stiers gives his most vigorous acting job ever.

But he still wants to take down Bodhi *personally*: Keanu wants to win, and he wants the collar. This gives us the chase scene, after the robbery that Gary Busey doesn't even notice is happening. Keanu's injury keeps him from sustaining the chase, but he has a chance to shoot Bodhi, and Bodhi lingers for a long

Masculine anarchy vs feminine order
This is just about the least insightful review I've ever read on the AV Club. I haven't waded thru the comments, maybe someone has chipped in with this already. But:

notBridget stole the first comment I was going to make. For the record, I emphasize that point: SCDP wasn't cutting back because Don wrote his letter. The financial crisis was caused by losing Lucky Strike. Don't letter is a bold play to try to rescue the company.

Faye cares. She's realistic about who Don may have slept with in the past, but she is not down with her man having affairs with his secretary. The "make reservations" line was a way of claiming territory.

The last time I was this impressed with a child actor doing great work playing a daugher in a disrupted new-family situation, was Evan Rachel Wood in Once and Again.
