Pete's not likable at all.

They didn't actually *DO IT* in the street. Joan said "Don't stop" and they kept making out; but then they moved the proceedings indoors, to one or the other's place, and did the real deed there.

@Roger's Aching Ticker -
Mad Men hasn't "forgotten" to add persons of color to the cast. Weiner was expicit about this in a season 1 interview, saying that so long as the show remained centered around the corporate world in Manhattan in the early 60s, pretty much the only black characters were were going to see were

I found the soup metaphor to be interesting and persuasive. And completely in-character coming from Joyce.

My wife also was asking for a Miss Blankenship compilation. Is anyone's avi-fu up to the task?

Or rather, a fundamentally decent guy who only occasionally coerces au pairs into sex.

Pete's a turd.

Anna Draper's ghost staring mournfully at Don?
Sometimes the interpretations in these reviews are way off the mark. Mournfully?

Stockings vs Pantyhose
So we know unambigiously that Peggy wears pantyhose. (I think we've seen that before, like in montage of the women getting undressed at the end of the day.) We saw in the upskirt shots with the handholding, that Joan wears stockings. We also saw that Allison wears stockings, a few weeks ago.

Don will be married to Faye at this point next year, right?

I wasn't sure if Peggy was breaking doucheart's beat-off concentration, or if she was leaving the room so he would get some work done.

To echo everybody else, I was shocked to find myself thinking what a great husband to Betty this guy Henry is. A much better husband to Betty, moment to moment, than Don could ever have been.

Blankenship may be a terrible joke, but she is such a just retibution to Don for his treatment of Allison — Blankenship is so exactly what he deserves — that I enjoy her horrible miscues very much. My wife and I laughed out loud when she wrestled with Pete over the package.

Alurin, I've been trying to make it happen for a few years now. It hasn't taken yet. "The Zon". Pass it on.

It's odd that anyone would single out Denise Crosby's performance as being "the bad one" in TNG's first season. Everyone on TNG other than Patrick Stewart, sucked hard.

"All Our Yesterdays" was the 2nd-to-last TOS episode, featuring Mariette Hartley in a fur bikini. Zack reviewed it 3 wks ago.

Greeked.

A couple weeks ago a Tivo'd an Outer Limits episode, because it had Skip Homeier in it (Dr Sevrin from the Space Hippies episode, also the Nazi in Patterns of Force). The episode was terrible — it was this one:

…but it also had Doohan in it, as a police detective. Not trace of Scottish, he

I read these as a kid, loved them. Of course they were novelizations taking place in the regular TOS universe!

Tasha Yar was the only thing I kind of liked about the first few episodes of TNG's first season. She was loud, but at least she had some life to her. And she was cute. That they (spoiler) killed her off was right on a par with everything else they did to make the MOST DISAPPOINTING TV SHOW EVER.
