Since I personally do not remember hearing anything about this in the media that I consume, I assume that means she has never mentioned this before now. Why has she waited so long to come forward? If all these things actually happened, why would she wait until now to mention it in public? The only logical explanation

Pinocchio is definitely the most disturbing Disney film to watch as an adult. Part of it is that the bad guys all get away with it. Pinocchio only manages to escape. The evil characters receive no real negative consequences for their actions, and there is nothing to make us think they aren't still out there, preying

"Fantastic" might be taking it too far, but it's still way different and better than you would think if all you knew was "MMMBop."

"It's not you. You're a nice, sweet person. It's just that I now associate you with soul-crushing disappointment so much that I can't bear to look at you."

I'm by no means a huge fan of Chris Hardwick now, but I thought he was WAY worse on Singled Out. In fact I think I feel the opposite of you. "Remotely tolerable" is exactly how I would describe him now. On Singled Out, he was a smarmy douchebag that constantly made me want to punch him in the face.

Look, I'm not blaming anyone really. I'm not sitting here in contempt of the peons for having poor taste or anything. On the contrary, I see myself as being mostly the same as everybody else. I don't think I'm some brilliant independent thinker, above all those lowly sheeple who just follow the crowd. I know that I am

Well then, I wonder what is the case? Because it used to be guaranteed that Sandler movies would be number one at the box office. That isn't the case. His popularity is declining. If this isn't because of the public finally deciding his movies suck, then what is it?

I think calling movie viewers "victims" is going too far. There are lots of ways to enjoy yourself besides watching a terrible movie. I have been doing these things for years. There are also other movies to see, and I guarantee you that at any point there were other, better movies at the theater than any Adam Sandler

Yeah, but it's one of those things that never ceases to make me stop going "What the fuck is wrong with people?"

There's a difference between passion and enthusiasm. But there's still something to enjoy about enthusiasm. And a lot of it is because of all the other people around him really putting effort into making a funny movie. The weirdness, though, I don't know if I agree with you. There is plenty of weirdness in Jack and

The reason Jack and Jill can make people feel like society is collapsing is not because the movie is bad. It's that the movie was so successful. It grossed about $150 million worldwide. People paid 150 MILLION DOLLARS to go to the theater and watch Al Pacino humiliate himself while Adam Sandler gives one of his most

Maybe there's some hyperbole in Rabin's article but to say he has "the same hit-to miss ratio as most A-List stars" is ridiculous. It's not just about the ratio, it's that the movies just seem to keep getting worse and worse.

Dumbo is one of those movies that you don't remember as a tearjerker. "Dumbo? That movie made you cry?" Then you go back and watch it and you remember how it used to turn you into a blubbering pile of snot and tears every time you saw it. And now it's doing it again.

I've often thought that Doug should stop posting here. Not that there was anything wrong with what he said. It's just that when you post in comment threads like this as a celebrity, you can't win. If you're positive, it means you're stroking your ego by having everybody kiss your ass and tell you how great you are. If

Loverboy… I remember that used to be on Comedy Central almost constantly. The homophobia was pretty bad but not nearly as bad as the one where the guy pust on blackface to get into college.

THANK YOU!!! That's exactly what it was.

I don't see how you could listen to any of the more recent episodes and think that. Even when they disagree it's very cordial and digs at each other are good natured jokes.

I think that the "That's also true!" line is a reference to an unrelated musical of some sort. It's bugging the hell out of me because I can't remember what it's from. But in any case, the fact that it resembles the cadence of "It's Been Awhile" is just because the part in that musical also resembles it a little.

I also agree that the Gilliam/Garry thing is played out. I hae enjoyed it, but I've definitely gotten to the point where I want to hear them doing new things. Especially I want to hear Gillian with a different guest.

I love Face/Off, and I loved this episode of the podcast. However I have to say that I am on board with Paul Scheer in that the big chase at the end doesn't do it for me. It's like they're trying to make it as insane as possible, but nothing can even come close to being as insane as seeing Noclas Cage and john
