The first season reviews were great. Long, detailed, and they really gave you a sense that this was someone who loved the shows.

I see now that a recurring theme of these usenet comments will be that they gradually go from "Ha ha, look at this pedantic nerd nitpicking a classic episode and hating it for stupid reasons!" to "Hmmm, this guy may be a pedantic nerd but he makes some good points."

I loved the Betsy Sodaro episode too. Part of it is probably because I love Betsy Sodaro. She was a perfect "straight" character, reacting well to everything Lauren did.

That is a completely different issue and is not at all covered by free speech. First of all, free speech does NOT give you the right to verbally harass people. Second of all, free speech just means that people can't be forbidden by the government to speak their opinions. But you are under no obligation to let people

F is for FANNY, sucked dry by a leech.

It wasn't written by Steve Goodman. It was written by Mike Smith, his friend who often collaborated with him. I really love that song, though.

One of y favorite things about the podcast is how the theme song goes out of its way to make the concept sound as confusing as possible.

Really? I like Amy a lot. The only thing that (occasionally) annoys me is when Devin gets condescending and acts like a know-it-all. But I really like the podcast overall and I think the two of them are good together. Especially when they're being genuine and not playing up their disagreement to be more exteme.

NOOOO! Video removed due to copyright claims! Is there somewhere else we can see it?

I settled on Bush being a charismatic guy of average intelligence, who surrounded himself with people who were brilliant in some ways but disastrously incompetent in others. Most of them were pretty evil, too.

Which explains why Cosby was so brazen about this whole thing up until recently. He probably discussed it with his slimebag lawyer, and knows that legally none of the women can do anything to him anymore due to statute of limitations and changes in law since he committed the crimes. He knows that it's now impossible

You shouldn't have said "the real assholes are the AP." You should have said something like, "The AP are bad too, and it's assholes like them that enable people monsters Cosby to get away with stuff like this for so long."

I would go with Kirk Cameron. At least his stupidity and craziness are funny instead of depressing.

Good point. Like zebbart said, the instinct to want to ask this question is not necessarily a bad one. You just have to have some common sense about when and how to ask it.

Especially when you're writing the meme about a rapist!

He did a lot of weird, inappropriate things towards kids. He definitely qualifies as a pedophile, because the bizarre obsession with childhood and adoration of children which he admitted to are forms of pedophilia. However there isn't evidence he did anything sexual enough to actually be illegal.

I love how Gino is always juuust skirting the line of being a total racist, misogynist asshole but never quite crosses it.

Good! I haven't listened to this week's episode, but my main problem with the firs two was that they were being too antagonistic. It's like they felt like they had to exaggerate their opinions so that they were polar opposites of each other, constantly attacking. The problem is that it came off as phony—the moments of
