I like the premise, but I think they're too antagonistic. Like they feel like they need to be polar opposites. The problem is that it's obvious they're not—I'd bet that Amy doesn't hate Goodfellas nearly as much as she says, and Devin even came out in the end to say that Temple of Doom doesn't deserve to be canon. It

It's not.

Hey, imagine if this were actually a true statement rather than just snarky hyperbole. Wouldn't it be sad if ElDan's life were so empty that having this one pop culture website decide to spend a week putting up a lot of articles celebrating this one TV show affected him so much that it actually made his whole week

I actually don't like the movie very much. I just don't go for crime movies, especially Italian mafia ones. I can't really day why, but I just don't like them all that much. Which is why I think The Godfather and The Godfather 2 are great movies. I actually enjoyed them, and appreciated their brilliance immediately,

I don't understand. How will having hobbies help? I guess it might mean we don't have time to read the AV Club, but I don't see how that would stop us from crying.

I mostly agree with you, even though I wouldn't be quite so negative. I also think it would have been better for them to replicate their Earwolf model, start small, and debut podcasts gradually, 1 or 2 at a time. I think it's going to make it especially hard for some of the podcasts that maybe don't have as strong an

You'll never believe this but… I'm thinking about AV Club comments!

Just to make it even harder for you to get shit done, did you know there's also one hosted by Leonard Maltin? His cohost Baron Vaughn is very funny too (and was on a very funny I4H episode last week to promote it).

He really is talented, and was genuinely funny on both Ben Stiller and NewsRadio. But he has shown himself to be a horrible, horrible person in many ways since then. It's sad that this makes his comedy harder to enjoy. At the end of the day, though, it is Andy's fault.

I think I've figured out what @avclub-8b5e7836dd068601d1d820b4147fde37:disqus is all about. It's some misogynist associated with MRA and/or #gamergate who is masquerading as what he thinks is an extreme version of a feminist. Probably in a misguided attempt to make his side look better. But of course he isn't capable

I think part of it is that it sets your expectations high. The movie has so much potential to be great, and the trailers make you want to see that greatness. If this movie's publicity had played up the generic "ragtag bunch of superheroes" angle, and left the Baymax parts as a cool surprise, it probably would have

I agree that Baymax is fantastic, as are the parts of the movie centering around him. The problem is when it turns into a generic superhero movie. And it's not even that the movie is bad, just that it's disappointing to see so much potential and then end on a mediocre note.

My problem with that quote is it undersells the racism of San Francisco. "Boston is like an EVEN MORE racist San Francisco" would be better.

"If your idea of mercy is only putting your underling in a coma for their insolence… you might be a Sith."

Once again, the pedantic nerd in me is annoyed at people misusing the "maybe it's just me" bit. The whole point is supposed to be that you're using it for something that ISN'T a matter of personal opinion, to make it absurd that you would say "maybe it's just me."

To be honest, I still don't really love his stand-up all that much. I see him as more of a comedy facilitator. He's absolutely brilliant at making other people funny. He has great instincts, and he never lets his ego get in the way of the comedy. I've seen people say that his show is only funny because he's lucky

Is your real name Paul Bunyan?

But that's a really central point to the plot that comes up repeatedly.

Interesting, yes. Good, no.

As soon as he started doing it I felt stupid for not seeing it coming.
