This week's Professor Blastoff was great. I'm not a big fan of Pete Holmes, and was pretty wary going in. Not so much the laugh itself, but when he says or does awkward/stupid thing, having the laugh on top of it just makes things a thousand times more annoying.

I don't want to pretend to speak for black people, but my impression is that the word colored isn't THAT bad. Like, if someone is using it normally it makes that person sound like a racist, but it's not like just hearing the word is automatically hurtful. This was a woman from the 20s, and the whole point is that she

The way he says "FUCK" is great. I also love that he rhymes "FUCK" with "FUCK." Just to make it even clearer that the song is half-assed and lazy about everything except finding original ways for monsters to fuck each other.

I agree that this is another episode showing the show had started to decline. There's no denying that Rodney was funny, but it's like they didn't even try to make the rest of the episode fit in. I think earlier seasons would have made him fit into the Simpsons universe more naturally, and also put in more parts where

I love them for their irony, unironically.

Visually it was great, but the punchline wasn't that funny. It actually might have been better if Calvin didn't say anything.

*what month it is

I remember once someone who didn't know who John Mayer was, asked me to describe him. I said "He's kind of like Dave Matthews, only more bland and soulless." My friend said "Is that possible?" And I said, "Thanks to John Mayer, I now know that it is."

He's enthusiastic and positive about everything he's done to the point of hyperbole. You can tell that with North he's trying to be positive but he just can't.

I'M AN ADULT!!!!!

I liked when Scott started the show introducing him as "Gary Marshall," then he went into this long tirade about how after his many long years working as a director, he thinks he deserves the respect of being addressed as Mr. Marshall. Then, when Scott says "I'm sorry Mr. Marshall," he says, "Please, call me Gary."

But it's doomed to failure! Didn't you know? Studios are always refusing projects with a female lead because they feel that movies won't sell to a broad audience unless they have a straight white male lead.

Highway Patrolman is a good choice for best song on the album.

Ermahgerd!!! Gersberms!!!

To be fair, Vanilla Ice did kind of get a bum rap. Sampling had been common in hip hop since its inception, and even Queen has borrowed hooks from other songs (this article mentions that Another One Bites the Dust borrows from Good Times). The kind of thing Vanilla Ice did had been allowed to happen without

I'm waiting for the Nebraska children's book. Perfect for tucking you kid into bed at night!

Totally agree about Human Touch being a great song on an otherwise lackluster album. I would also file "Soul Driver" under the "Songs I ove in spite of cringeworthy lyrics."

Japanese pizza isn't bad. They do put a lot of weird toppings on, but it's not like you have to order them. You have a menu filled with lots of different options. Most of them will have a margherita option, and a lot of chains will have something like "American special" which is the typical American ingredients like

The best part about including jokes and references that cater to adults is that when they grow up they can look abck on it and get all ofthat stuff.

Hypothetical feminists are the worst kind!
