The FTA is originally from the army recruiting poster that boasted Fun, Travel, Adventure. When I was in, 91-95, FTA was a place holder for Fuck The Army. Everytime we'd get shit on by an officer or NCO we'd usually comment on the Fun, Travel and Adventure of the situation.
