Big Fat Face

I've somehow managed to never see an episode of the Andy Griffith Show or Matlock, but A Face in the Crowd is amazing. It was so ahead of its time that it perfectly satirizes Glenn Beck and the like. Andy Griffith's performance, especially his chilling laughter, made that film.

So how is it not shitty for Entertainment Weekly to do this? It just seems like they shouldn't be pushing folks out of the closet like that, though Anderson sounds okay in this case.

This is my favorite movie of the year so far. It was my most anticipated, and the movie lived up to the hype. It's the kind of movie that I wish David Gordon Green had kept making, though it's possibly even better than George Washington.

Hmm, I wonder if this show will be chock full of science vs. faith arguments? And maybe Lindelof will ultimately side with the "faith" characters because all the sciencey characters act like dicks or morons???

At some point a man stops looking for a place to hang his underwear and starts looking for a place to hang his hat.

Yeah, what @avclub-443461f22c379e8d6c249374e586581e:disqus  said, but Goldman was apparently very broken up about the experience. Adventures in the Screen Trade basically says that he would have erased the whole experience of writing All the President's Men from history (along with his Oscar) if he had the choice.

Ephron also wrote a draft of All the President's Men, but the circumstances of why she did so are different based on who you ask. Robert Redford says that her (apparently major) rewrites were what was shot, so her uncredited work is what won the Oscar. You can hear Robert Redford talk about this on the commentary, and

Wow, it's always surprising when a celebrity dies/becomes ill out of nowhere. I'm also kind of surprised to find out that Nora Ephron is 71 years old. I would have guessed mid-to-late 50s.
