So happy to see "There's a Riot Goin On" referred to as Sly's masterpiece. It's so god dang dark and funky! Apparently Sly recorded most of it himself, overdubbing on tape, holed in a Beverly Hills mansion (rented with the advance from the record company) with a pile of drugs
