I agree with Herr D'Angelo's rejection of this scene, but only partly with his reasons. There's nothing unrealistic about the character's behaviour; in fact, if you're a woman who has ever dated a guy like this, it is excruciatingly true to life. I was once wordlessly ditched by a boyfriend during a play when I

Yes. I stopped watching halfway through.

Yes. I stopped watching halfway through.

Yes, and the Frighteners was a
Secret Fiascocess, so just about every permutation has been used. And that whole "this is the first time I am ever doing this" thing is just an attention grab to get readers other than those who are interested in anything to do with Community.

I thought it was beautiful. A bit… ponderous, sure. And predictable. But just because a story has been told thousands of times, it doesn't mean the story isn't interesting, or that the story told through new eyes can't be original. Also, the Johnny Flynn song on the soundtrack absolutely slays me.

Wow, reply from the writer! I must have annoyed you by not looking back far enough. Pop. 1280 is great, thanks.

I like this far more than I thought I would based on the description. But I've noticed that all these "Playlisted" artists are ultra downbeat and ethereal and what-have-you.

I'm more offended by the lame manner in which this article goes on and on with its rape metaphor. They are making a point, yes, but it becomes oddly weird and graphic near the end.

I'm from the U.S. (Although I have a Kiwi partner and live in New Zealand. Does that disqualify me?) I like the movie a lot and I thought the themes were universal. You don't need to be a maori kid to have a shitty father or to let pop culture inform your ideas about the world.

No way man! You can tell she's having fun. Look at her expression when the dancing bellboys are doing their synchronized dance around her.
