Are you thinking of McGruff the crime dog? This isn't that. And yes, yes you are.

I enjoyed WatX (don't tell Pixie Solanas), but it doesn't change the fact that Schism as written was deeply stupid.

No, but he's booked out at least 3 years.

No, Claremont took over Uncanny X-men again for a brief period in the mid-aughts. That's when Storm and Wolverine hooked up. Also, Nightcrawler had a crush on Storm, and Rachel Grey turned into a dinosaur (and wore a tube top and mini-skirt for a costume).

In universe explanation: He is a mad scientist, so maybe he'd been experimenting on himself with Wolverine blood, or nanotech, or whatever, and that allowed him to survive the initial gunshot. And then he spent the next several years in rehab and physical therapy, re-learning how to chew and tie his shoes.

Now that Wolverine's gone, maybe the stupid Schism can be fixed, and we can all focus on what's really important - that Beast is the absolute worst.

That's like a few weeks in the Marvel Universe - nobody will even have time to notice he's missing!

Supposedly the video creators edited out most of the white guys, because their comments were drowned out by street noise.

Bendis is also much better at writing his own characters, versus previously established ones. Can't be out of character if you made the character.

T shirts emblazoned with "What about the MEEEEEEENNNNNN!!!!!"?

I don't actually want the X-books to completely stop addressing societal bigotry - I'd just like it if they'd move beyond the KILL ALL MUTANTS storylines. How many mutant hating groups with advanced technology and unlimited resources can there be, anyway?

Warren Ellis' Exogenetic storyline in Astonishing X-men touches on this.

The unending theme of "a world that hates and fears them" is part of the broader problem with mainstream superhero comics. Marvel seems utterly incapable of making long term, permanent changes to its books.

The tie-ins also disrupt whatever long-term story the writers were building towards.

But…he didn't have the healing factor when he died, so he's dead-dead. When they crack that statue, they're going to find a rotting pile of anaerobic goo.

And some ducks randomly explode when they turn into ducks, spraying guts, feathers, and spiral penises everywhere

X-Statix also pointed out that the team were revered only as long as they kept doing what their public wanted; otherwise, they're back to being dirty muties.

…hate seems such a dumb concept.

I'm divided on David. I like how he's able to write for lesser known characters and make them interesting; I do not like how keen he his on repeatedly calling She-Hulk a slut. Plus he comes off as a bitter, bitter man outside of his comics.

Bendis just keeps making weird changes to her character.
