I don't know what RailRunner is, is that a specific type of train? They had Trains in ABQ before 2006, right?

Further downthread, someone made a great analogy to the "Walkabout" episode of Lost, which was also the fourth episode of the series. They devoted the entire thing to John Locke, a character who at best had been as featured as Mike has been so far in BCS. Was anyone "jarred at how out of place it seemed?" No, we were…
I think this episode gave you just enough mike, it was a one-off to explain his motivation to get into the side of the law he will end up on and start the pairing of him and Jimmy. This was needed to explain what will happen over the course of the season/series. More would be unnecessary and arguable gratuitous, but…
Yeah I noticed that too…These are the types of shows that don't mince on the details like that…
yeah, and at the end of the show you say "Oh, that's why…what a fascinating, well acted, and brilliantly directed hour of television. I can't wait to see more of this deep and layered character over the rest of this season."
She's not taking it on a case-by-case basis, though. She's actually using the show's legacy to give it a worse grade because reasons..that's the irritating part.
You literally post the same thing in here every week, talk about meandering your way to obscurity.
I don't think she was doing it to be contrarian. It was clear she loved the episode. Then she invented a hypothetical person who hadn't seen BrBa, and assumed that person wouldn't like it as much, so she gave it a "B."
Lots of things those cops were doing was a "no-no," drinking in uniform feels like the lowest item on the priority order.
Yeah, I think he was faking it that whole time. He had been planning it for a while. I think the "Hold on Loosely" scene was kind of a red herring. It was intended to make it seem like he was totally slammered, but I think that was it really was was adrenaline/anticipation/that "tunnel" that can happen during…
I'm so stupid, I didn't realize that's why he was breaking into the car. I had assumed that he stashed it while they were tossing him into the back. your way makes much more sense.
Most definitely, pretending to be drunk, having an empty gun in your pocket and stashing your *other* gun in the seat are not "spur of the moment revenge"-type moves.
I mean, he is pretty tall…
I have to just completely disagree with the reviewer's conclusion here. Like you said, it was "beautifully acted" and "lyrically" directed, I thought it was written fantastically as well, the pacing was spot on, and the way the bits and pieces of information were delivered told the story masterfully.
hearing that made me so sad that I had already selected my AV Club screen name.
I disagree, jerk.
I really liked this article and agree completely. The whole point of the Old Lady scene was that it was excruciatingly long. They're making the viewer suffer alongside Jimmy in an effort to relate to what he's going through.
The mere presence of camp stove fuel even in large quantities in his home didn't feel "probable-causey" enough to warrant their actions to me.
I don't know that Jimmy's motivation right now is to be "rich." He lives in a room in back of a nail salon that doubles as his office and drives a Suzuki Esteem with a mis-matched door. There's a whole world of socio-economic strata between that and "rich."
Thanks! I'm assuming I can listen to the episodes on their website through my phone? Literally all of my podcast listening is on my phone either in the car or doing housework.
