I did too, right after I found out through twitter of his passing. It was a weird coincidence and made me have a major sad,

I'm in the same boat as you, I thought it was short and could/should have been a two-parter, but I thought it was really funny. I laughed a lot.

This is definitely not the last time this will be spoken of…

Nails DeChamp!

Dennis' opening rant really felt like I was reading a "Sunny was better before because…" rant in the comments section here from any newer episode, I loved it.

I don't recall anyone organize large scale groups of dudes to go see "Wild Things" in the theatre, them talking about "Wild Things" on the Today show, or "Wild Things" sex toys being sold at target.

No, the distinction of this story is that it's terribly written. There's plenty of great films out there that explore the things you mention from a woman's point of view and do so much better, Secretary alone has been mentioned numerous times in this thread.

What movies/books etc. worthy of such derision have been a pop cultural sensation on the same scale as "50 Shades" yet escaped it?

None of those things that you mention have remotely overtaken the pop cultural zeitgeist the way this book has. That's the difference.

My wife never read the books or anything. She prefers her YA Lit of the "Post-Apocalyptic" variety, she doesn't get any of this.

I know very, very little about this book/movie, with the exception that this was originally Twilight Fan fiction, right? And Middle-aged women who aren't my wife seem to LOVE it. So forgive me for a moment when I say…

"he spends most of the time pointing out how everything that Professor Farnsworth and the rest of the Planet Express do is impossible and stupid. It’s…"
The Onion A.V. Club

No one thinks that The Last Crusade was the best one.

It's like radio, but for nerds.

Didn't they show this episode randomly a couple of months ago? I swear I've already seen this…

Sorry, I only started watching From Season 12 on…

I totally thought it was Beetlejuice as well…

I already have two bad movie podcasts in my rotation, but the overall rotation is thinning out a little. Should I incorporate WHM into it?

Sure, but if we're to the point of thinking that the police were fabricating evidence to close this case…couldn't the police have just told Jay to say he showed them where the car is?
