I read this article earlier. It's pretty spot on. I know I've been overusing the hell out of this word lately, but it really comes down to the album's empathy—it's just on a completely different level from much of what's out there right now.

I also liked the alien episodes a bit more, early on, anyway. This is quite the solid list, though. Space is so, so, so bad.

Or maybe Modern Times or the Gold Rush. Man. This is hard.

Punch Drunk Love. Though, if that were like, out of print or something, I'd go with The Wrath of Khan.

I'll think about it. It's not like I don't have something of an online presence between social media and working for that journal and what not, but I haven't decided if I'm totally comfortable revealing my identity (not that it's an identity worth revealing or anything, I'm just a grad student/ta/fiction writer) here.…

So, I just wrote my review of the Frank Ocean album for the small online lit journal for which I serve as a music section editor and said review is two pages long. It's easily the longest review I've written. Not sure how to cut it down. Crud.

Yeah, X-files might be the most frustrating "great" show I've ever watched. When it was airing originally, I gave up some time in season 8, I think. I've watched the whole thing through since then, and man it trails off. Were I to compare the show to a musical act, it would be the Beach Boys—starts strong enough,…

The 33 1/3 book on MM is a pretty strong volume. It's a nice exploration of the New York punk scene that birthed TV. It delves a bit too much in the drama surrounding the band, but with personalities like Hell and Verlaine, that stuff is hard to avoid.
