Exactly—I love the Troy and Abed story from this episode, and I mostly like the Pierce and Shirley plot, but those High School kids are just insufferable—the acting is bad, the characterization is bad, it just all really, really bothers me. It is one of the only episodes of Community that I just don't like.

Now if only we could get a clear enough shot of the face in that photo.  The face is way to skinny to be Harmon @avclub-eede55069a8d3430b54730901f49c230:disqus — so, it's probably just some dude.

It's…sure?  I guess I always heard a bit of irony in the song to begin with, so if you love it ironically, does…

Come on, even Around the Sun?  R.E.M. is my favorite band of all time, but even I find Around the Sun unlistenable.

If the Guarsico and Port Twitter account is someone from here, who would it be.  We could turn this into a good, old fashioned witch hunt!

I think the key for Community's longevity of influence will be what comes next.  I suspect your concerns will be validated in the short-term, but sooner or later, or maybe just gradually, over time, sitcoms will begin to include some of Community's boundary bursting aspects, granted in less overt ways.  This, or a few

Strangely enough, though I agree that a lot of people who dislike TV love Community, I feel as if the show loves TV more than TV loves itself.

My guess is the show will get its back nine (based on Sony's sway), get it to, what, 93 (?) episodes? And then get cancelled at the end of season 4…unless (and this is NBC we're talking about) most or all of the new comedies fail.  In that case, there might be a distant, outside, long-shot of a chance that they keep

I learned a long time ago that pop culture related statistics are horribly depressing.  Though I've largely accepted this truth, it still burns a little when something like this comes out.

I loved Hounds a great deal, as well.  I was quite surprised by the response to it here on the AV Club.

Critics are outraged at the "fire hydrant" scene.
