Ditto for no Louie on the comedy list.  Ditto for the inclusion of Glee.  This years noms seem particularly absurd.

I assure you, I read it.  It was a little repetitive, but I've seen much worse (in allegedly much better books).  That being said, the last book was probably the least fulfilling, but the inevitable momentum bringing Aomame and Tengo together was largely compelling—it definitely could have been trimmed down to be

So, just finished this.  It's not my favorite by Murakami (not by a long shot), but it's far better than the review lets on.  The style is definitely a bit clunky at times, but the world building and weird, guerrilla meta-fiction aspects of it are quite intriguing.  Also, I'm a big fan of how much is left un-explained

First post!  So, I've been thinking about season 3 a lot, and how, while it's been dark, it hasn't had any of those weightier episodes that really dug deep and pushed the characters.  At first, this kind of bothered me.  As I've thought about it, though, I realized that we don't really need those all of the time.
