Yoknapatawpha County's not good enough?

Clooney's fine, certainly appealing in the right roles, okay as far as he goes, but I don't think he goes very far.  I'll do just fine never seeing him in a movie again.

I'd be more excited if there were people in the lead whose safety I was more concerned about — I'm not sure Clooney and Bullock's disappearance into the cold void of space is something I have a problem with.

Can we just call him Useless and leave it at that?

So not only is Snyder the 2nd Worst Director Alive, he's also a total clueless hypocrite about his own films and their relentless fetishization of violence.

Over designed, over photographed, over posed, a ponderous bore. FIrth manages the occasional bit of real humanity, but even he can't escape the black hole of Tom Ford's Suffocating Style, as those lingering closeups of Ever-So-Subtle-Emoting become as phony as the film they had previously been the

Sad to see that even Malick has fallen into the Pitt Trap. A shame. I'm in no hurry to see any more of Pitt's increasingly pathetic attempts at acting. Maybe Malick will work some magic, though: he was the first director to get watchable work out of Colin Farrell…

Mad World
Mad World was not used as the closing number of a Nathan Lane musical. Jules' cover was played during the final moments of Lane's revival of Simon Gray's play BUTLEY.
