I love Title Fight, but I always considered them pop punk with hardcore/post-hardcore influences.  Their early, pre-Shed output was more explicitly pop punk, but they've developed into a very interesting band.  Check out Floral Green.

Just by anecdotes, bands these days that attract large crowds (for a hardcore show) remind me of Terror (who remind me of Madball) - like Expire, Weekend Nachos, Rotting Out.  Somewhat older bands like Bane still attract a following.

Xibalba tore it up when I saw them live. Also check out Alpha & Omega (who toured with them) and Empire of Rats.

1. Just stand back and let the kids mosh.
2. You'd be surprised. And if the bars don't support it, in any sizeable city, there are usually punk houses that will let touring bands play basement shows.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the bands Murray regards as more impressive at Fun Fun Fun Fest are punk or punk-influenced bands (X, Refused, Superchunk, Youth of Today, Lucero) as opposed to modern indie bands (Real Estates, Surfer Blood).  Maybe the latter can deliver in the right setting, but a big festival

The voice and the energy obviously might not be where it was in the 80s, but I have to think if they feel confident enough to reunite, they can do the old songs justice.  I saw super old 7 Seconds play last year, and they performed fine.  Young Till I Die, bitches.

I loved that scene.  Theo played up the audience's sympathy real well too, with his earnest tone, and lines about how even if Cliff wasn't a successful doctor, he wouldn't love his father any less because he's his dad anyways. And BOOM!

I blame it on that season when she styled her hair way up. Soon after that, she was dressing slutty while dancing to the Locomotion.

It's a great album, but I'll admit its awesomeness is built more on having some particularly solid highs (A More Perfect Union, Richard II, Battle of  Hampton Roads), than from being a consistent album.  But that's part of their M.O. - Titus Andronicus has always had a lot meandering songs in their albums, which,
