It's actually building on the S1 episode ("Vortex") in which the term "Changeling" was first introduced.  So Odo's heard the word before, and is becoming increasingly sure that there are, or were, others like him, in the Gamma Quadrant.  Last time it was third-hand info - a guy I associated with heard from someone

Oh, also, why has no one mentioned the fact that "Shadowplay" features an extended discussion of the holo-people ending with the emphatic statement that "they're real?"

Another nice review, and I'm surprised at how much I'm going to miss these reviews.  Be sure to make it widely known when we're starting up again okay?

Yeah, there was going to be an attempt to do one of these Dominion-style understated background arcs leading up to the debut of the Borg, beginning with "The Neutral Zone."  It got incoherent-ized by the writers' strike that shortened S2 and mucked up any attempts at long-term planning.

insect overlord:  I'm with you.  I may even prefer FTU to ITPM, although that's like comparing something badass and amazing to something else that's also badass and amazing.

As usual, a few things make a little bit more sense now that we know…. The Rest Of The Story.

Sorry I missed last week, if anyone cares.  Those episodes were worth talking much more about, but with these two I'll just again briefly acknowledge how amazing Amy Acker's work is, and then jump to the trivia.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I despise the Angel/Spike portion of TGIQ for two basic reasons (besides it being a momentum-killer): one is that it, rather mean-spiritedly, mocks the characters for the alleged Buffy hangup that has not been in evidence all season, and two is that I find approximately 0.05% of the

Again, you don't say anything that isn't true.  Some of us really connected to this particular puzzle, and just like the good parts more and mind the bad parts less.  So if you're getting any annoying pullback from us along the lines of "it is an injustice that you do not think this is the single most awesomest thing

I'm sure someone's floated the suggestion already, but if Zack is up for it, I'd enjoy using the time that used to go into our DS9-ing to finally get around to watching B5.

This is another one where I can't actually disagree with many particular poitns in the reviews, but like both episodes better and wish Zack liked them better (i.e. I like AG rather than thinking it's okay, and love "Whispers" rather than liking it).

Random factoid:  As far as the pre/post-ganglionic thing, that made it into the third-season episode as a callback to "Q-Less," which first mentioned it.  The "Q-Less" writer had intended it as a trivial error, but someone on staff had a relative involved in some medical field, and she argued that it would be a

Based on something we read in these very AVC forums, my brother and I refer to cocaine as "the White" now.
